After the morning procedures are done,

We can then do what we want, everyone!

Today is rest day for me, oh, it’s fun!

I’ll see my brethren here in Iligan!

Visiting your sibs is such a nice thing.

I do it always, I like them smiling!

They gave me a very wondrous something,

Memories of us, together laughing!

I have now shared some adventures with you.

Hi! I am brother Eduard Kenneth Au.

I will tell you a little story now.

It is about Harry Potter’s pet owl,

Hedwig is it’s name, it’s very bright, wow!

It’s got large round golden eyes. Listen up!

It’s got icy white feathers, and won’t flop.

It’s loyal to Harry and will not stop,

To serve it’s master till it’s blood’s last drop.

A messenger to Potter, this bird is.

Do not ever try to take it, oh please!

Or else, it’s owner will cry and lose ease.

And then sis Leiden will say, “What is this?!”

Miss Orbase is a fan of Harry.

I bet she’ll watch his upcoming movie.

If for you, this poem’s vile, forgive me.

I’m just a new poet, it ain’t easy!

This thing’s about a truehearted hooter,

An owl that’s a true friend to it’s master.

She stands above the rest, oh I utter.

She’s courageous and bright and won’t falter.

She’s a nice owl to take care of, it’s true!

And she really is alive, I tell you!

Harry learned a new trick out of the blue,

And suddenly, Hedwig was back to boo!

God, I thank You

I am just a nobody seeking joy,

Just a simpleton dreaming to be coy,

Someone who couldn’t even buy a toy,

A man, incompetent to use a ploy.

But here I am, enjoying Your kindness.

You gave me hope, comfort and happiness.

I thank You for all that, Your Loftiness.

You have unfathomable seemliness.

Though I try to be a righteous servant,

I sin, falling short of being gallant.

I’ll never quit, though I am just a grunt,

‘Coz my dreams, I know someday, You will grant.

I dream of reaching heaven, my Lord God.

There, I’ll sing praises to Thee like a bard.

Today, while on this Earth, I will be glad.

I will serve thee till my last drop of blood.

Oh, God, please help me in my weaknesses,

In times when I’m confused and too clueless.

For with your help, I can attain success,

Without You, I’d rot in imperfectness.

I thank You, Father, for all that You’ve done.

You gave me my all, and my sweet someone.

Forgive me my sins, oh, Most Holy One.

Your Majesty, thank You, You made me man.

Kung Mayaman Ka…

Kung mayaman ka, huwag magyabang,

Kapwa’y tulungan at magpautang.

‘Wag gamitin ang pera sa layaw,

Sa Iglesia ay tumulong ikaw.

Ang walang makain ay bigyan mo,

Gaya ng asal ng ating Guro.

Ika’y mag-abuloy na may galak,

Umisip ng mabubuting balak.

Magagarang damit ay ‘wag bilhin

Kung hindi kailangang gamitin.

Pamumuhay ay gawin mong payak,

Dapat simple lang lagi ang gayak.

‘Wag ka ngang magarbo sa pagkain,

Basta’t mayroon kang nakahain.

Huwag kang bibili ng alahas,

Baka mapasama ka sa ahas.

‘Wag nang mamasyal pa sa kung saan,

Kung pera’y uubusin mo lamang.

Dalawin mo na lang ang kapatid,

Ligaya ay iyo ngang ihatid.

Bihira lang ang mayaman, ‘di ba?

Ganon lang talaga, maswerte ka!

Ngunit ‘wag tumaas iyong isip,

Magpakumbaba ka, oh kapatid.

 Ginto’t salapi ay nauubos,

‘Di tulad ng pag-ibig na lubos.

Kapalaran sa langit ay tingnan,

At huwag ang pang-lupang kayamanan.

‘Di po kita pinangungunahan,

Alam kong ako’y isang hamak lang.

Ang akin lang ay mapayuhan ka,

‘Yan ang gawin mo, kung mayaman ka.

Para sa Masa

Itong tula ay para sa masa

Alay ko sa mga walang pera

Para ‘to sa mga mahihirap

Sa bihira lang datnan ng sarap

Kapatid ko, wag kang mag-alala

Kung sa lahat ng bagay salat ka

‘Di naman kasi ito dahilan

Para mawalan ka ng pag-asa

Konting tiis lang, konting tiyaga

Makukuha rin ang ninanasa

Doon sa langit tayo titira

Doon tayo magsasama-sama

Kung ikaw ay nagugutom minsan

‘Wag agad iiyak, ayos lang ‘yan

Kung sa pananamit ika’y kulang

Paglaba’y iyo na lang dalasan

Masarap na pagkai’y wala ka

Ngunit meron ka namang kasama

Kahit tuyo lang ay okey ka na

Tama ‘yan, ganyan dapat talaga

Merong araw din namang busog ka

May araw na masaya’t masigla

Kung minsa’y nakangiti ka pa nga

Ayos, paminsan-minsa’y tumawa

Sa mga araw na lumuluha

Kalungkuta’y iyong binabata

Isipin mong ‘di ka nag-iisa

Kaylanma’y ‘di ka iiwan Niya

Ito’y naaalala mo pa ba

Tayo’y magkakasamang masaya

Mga kanta’y hinandog sa Kanya

Sa pasalamat ay nagka-isa

Binigyan Niya tayo’ng ligaya

Para sa atin, ito’y sapat na

Kapatid, magpakatibay ka nga

Manatili tayo sa Iglesia

Power of Youth

Just look inside you, feel it in your heart.

There’s something in there, something like a park.

It’s so magnificent, full of vigor.

It’s the power of youth you should savour.

Don’t squander it, put it to good use, friend.

Else, you’ll be sorry and cry in the end.

With this power, you can do lots of things,

Just think about the joy a good deed brings.

Let’s not indulge in smoking and liquor,

Those things are bad, and they cause some terror.

Eat healthy and have lots of exercise,

Let’s take care of our own bodies, it’s nice!

Why don’t we move closer to God, brothers?

He gave us all, including our fathers.

Practice holiness and serve Him truly.

Love one another. Let’s seek Him early.

Chance for salvation is not there always.

Grab the opportunity, change your ways.

Let’s strive for sanctity; our knees, let’s bend.

A time will come when the whole world will end.

Even if you gain the whole world indeed,

It’s useless if you’re in a wicked creed.

For what shall gold profit a somebody,

If he’ll lose his soul for eternity?

Again, I tell you, my beloved friend,

Use your power to repent, not offend.

Never act like a savage, it’s not good.

Everyone, let us all do what we should.
